Topic: Connecting with the Jury - Showcasing the Great Work You Do



Alan Traylor

Alan has been the Chief Investigator with the DeKalb DA's Office for the past three years.  Prior to that, he was the Chief Investigator in the DeKalb County Solicitor's Office.  In his previous role, he led the Investigative and Litigation Support Divisions of the Solicitor's Office by mentoring and managing direct supervisors to ensure quality work product from the 13,000 cases per year and 175,000 citations per year.  He was also the primary office liaison for all law enforcement agencies and County departments, such as Code Enforcement.  He has also served as a police officer and detective for the DeKalb County Police Department.


Alan obtained his Criminal Justice bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and his MBA from the University of Georgia.  He recently completed a five year term on the board of the International Women's House which is a domestic violence shelter with a mission to provide a safe haven and supportive services to immigrant and refugee women and children who are the victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and self-sufficiency.


Bill Presnell

Investigator Presnell came to the DeKalb DA's Office from the DeKalb Police Department, where he began his career in 1997.  He worked as a patrol officer in the North Precinct before becoming a detective in the Major Felony Unit.  He's been with the DeKalb DA's Office since 2004, and has worked in the Juvenile Division and the AntiCorruption Unit.  He has worked a number of serial robbery cases as well as complex homicide cases and now focuses on white collar crime.  He has a particular interest in cases involving real estate.


Steve DiMasi

Investigator DiMasi began his law enforcement career in 2000, working for the City of College Park as a patrol officer and detective.  He went on to work as an investigator for the Fulton County DA's Office before joining the DeKalb County Solicitor-General's Office in 2012.  Investigator DiMasi worked closely with victims in Intimate Partner Violence cases along with cases involving the elderly.  In 2017, he began at the DeKalb DA's Office and is currently assigned to the Anti-Corruption Unit.
