GACFE Luncheon Meeting December 1, 2017

Speakers: Crystal McPherson and Rebecca Carter

Topic: BBB Educates & Investigates

This session will review recent cases investigated by the Better Business Bureau.

Biography

For over 100 years, Better Business Bureau has helped people make smarter decisions and its desire is to create an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers trust one another. Because of its commitment to serve both businesses and consumers, BBB is constantly evolving. Although it began as means to hold advertisers accountable for false claims, BBB is now so much more. Here at your BBB serving Metro Atlanta, Athens, and NE Georgia, we not only accept complaints and accredit businesses that meet our standards of trust, we accept customer reviews, track & report scams by zip code, offer scholarships through our foundation, and do community outreach. And all of this is provided at no cost to the public.

Crystal McPherson has been with Atlanta Better Business Bureau for over three years. She has recently been promoted from Trade Practice Specialist to Manager of Community Relations. In her position she is out in the community educating consumers and the next generation of ethical business leaders. Additionally, she has a work background of sales leadership roles and 24 years’ experience in customer service that have made her a success at BBB.

Rebecca Carter has been with Atlanta Better Business Bureau for two years. Her position consists of fraud investigations and advertising review. Rebecca often interacts with local and national government and law enforcement agencies. Her background in customer care and leadership positions have greatly influenced her work with BBB.
